Head of IT Operations

Tuindeco Group (Tuindeco, Gadero) is looking for an experienced Head of IT Operations to take responsibility for managing 250 workstations, implementing security policies, and handling DevOps tasks within the organization. Job summary: As Head of IT Operations, you will be responsible for managing all 250 workstations across the 9 different companies within the organization. You will ensure the configuration and delivery of hardware and provide support for technical issues or failures. You will also be responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of the security policy within the organization. This includes setting up a company-wide cybersecurity program that meets ISO 27001 certification. Additionally, you will work with the Lead Development to automate deployment processes and apply DevOps principles to improve the efficiency and quality of software development and deployment. You will closely collaborate with the CTO and the IT department to make strategic technical decisions. Your primary location will be either Groningen (Gadero) or Coevorden (Tuindeco), with most of your time split between these two companies, but you will be responsible for the entire group, with locations in Emmen (NL), Norwich (UK), Niort (FR), Vittoria (ES), and Kleinwallstadt (DE).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a security policy, including a cybersecurity program in line with ISO 27001;

• Manage Google Workspace and M365 environments and workstations (Windows/macOS) within the organization;

• Manage applications on Ubuntu Linux servers and ensure the security of these systems against cyberattacks;

• Deliver hardware and provide technical support to employees;

• Assist in implementing DevOps principles to automate deployment processes and improve software development;

• Collaborate with the CTO and CFO to determine technical choices and strategies.

Your profile:

• Minimum HBO (higher vocational education) level of work and thinking, preferably in an IT-related field;

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role;

• Experience in setting up and managing a cybersecurity program, preferably ISO 27001 certified;

• Experience with M365, Windows, MacOS, Google Workspace, and Jamf, and managing workstations;

• Preferred: experience with implementing DevOps principles, including automating deployment processes;

• Preferred: experience with KeyCloak, identity and access management, and cloud platforms;

• Willingness to work at locations in Groningen, Coevorden, and Emmen;

• You speak Dutch or are fluent in English.
